(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Nov 16, 2009) In a week 10 NADS Fantasy Football League matchup, Rumrunners squeaked by a tough Blind Melon Chitlin' team by a score of 138 to 133, behind the support of 65,153 faithful fans. With their 138 points, Rumrunners is now the proud record-holder of the 25th-highest weekly point total in league history. All I have to say is WOW what a shootout. This is what fantasy football is all about. In this epic battle between first place and last place teams, Rumrunners opened as a 20.6 point favorite. Blind Melon Chitlin’ jumped out to an early 17 point lead on Thursday but Rumrunners closed the gap to only an 8 point lead after the Sunday morning games. After the afternoon games, Rumrunners went ahead by only 12 points. Blind Melon Chithead scored 45 more points on Sunday night, but it wasn’t enough as Rumrunners scored 38 points. Neither team had anymore players left as Rumrunners held on to squeak by Blind Melon Chitlin’ by only 5 points, 138-133, for the GAME OF THE WEEK and so far the Game Of The Year.
Rumrunners were led to their 5 point victory by a 38 point effort from Randy Moss, who tore apart the Indianapolis Colts defense for 179 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Moss was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 10. They also got help from a 35 point effort from Chris Johnson, who beat the Buffalo Bills defense for 132 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 100 receiving yards.
"This was a confidence booster," Rumrunners coach Butch Miller said.
Blind Melon Chitlin' were helped out in a losing cause by a 31 point effort from Peyton Manning, who beat the New England Patriots defense for 327 passing yards and 4 passing TDs. With this performance, Manning was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 10. They also got help from a 27 point effort from Sidney Rice, who tore apart the Detroit Lions defense for 201 receiving yards.
"These guys have nothing to be ashamed of," Blind Melon Chitlin' coach Frank Escobedo said.
Causing further embarrassment, Blind Melon Chitlin' could have scored 139 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but coach Frank Escobedo left key players like Muhsin Muhammad and his corresponding 15 points on the bench.
Blind Melon Chitlin' drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 10 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 10.
This brings the record for Rumrunners to 7-3, 1st place in the BAD division and drops Blind Melon Chitlin' to a record of 2-8, 4th place in the UGLY division.
Coming up in week 11, the 10-0 Home Brews are at Blind Melon Chitlin', where Blind Melon Chitlin' are an early 27.4-point underdog, while the 4-6 Instant Winners are at Rumrunners, where Rumrunners are an early 12.4-point favorite.
Good morning! This is going to be a crazy Sunday, not lazy Sunday, around the Bukowski house as I failed to get my Thanksgiving food shopping done yesterday. This usually means an early wakeup in order to get back in time to check for inactive players and make last minute lineup adjustments. But, I'm a team player and still found time to provide you with my valuable insights into today's games. Here's a few lineup tips to help you along.
Al Davis must be green with envy as he watches the Bengals add another bad boy to their roster. It would have been worth the price of admission to watch Larry Johnson and Raiders' coach Tom Cable, 6'3" and 273-pounds, get into it on the sideline. Instead, (More...)

Week 10 has ended and the fantasy scores were really not close at all. Most of the games were blowouts. The scoring was about the same as last week as well. The games were won by 5 points to a 48 point difference. We only had 4 teams score over 100 points, same as last week.We had a high score of 138 and a low score of only 32 points.
Congratulations to the winners of Week 10, Rumrunners, Got Kaya, Da Boyz, Los Cojones, Cracker Boy and Home Brews.Congratulations to Rumrunners for getting the High Score of the Week (HSOTW) with a whopping 138 points. This is his second HSOTW this season.Rumrunners will get 5 bones this week for HSOTW.Honorable mention goes to Blind Melon Chitlin’ (133 points), Home Brews (128 points) and Dave’s Not Here (113 points).Low Score of the Week goes to Instant Winners with only 32 points. To be fair, Instant Winners forgot to submit a lineup so the Commish submitted last weeks for him. This included 2 players on a bye and his tie-breaker listed on IR.
There are only 3 weeks left of the regular season.Congratulations to Home Brews for not only clinching the first playoff spot of the season; he has now clinched his GOOD division. This is indicated with a (y) next to his team in the standings.Home Brews is still the only team that has clinched a playoff spot, although there are a couple of teams that can possibly clinch at least a wild card this next week.Believe it or not, there still nobody that has been eliminated from the playoffs yet.But there are a several teams that are circling the drain and getting close to being flushed down the drain.
BYE WEEK:
There are no more bye weeks for the rest of the season.
THURSDAY NIGHT GAMES:
The f$#@ing hated Thursday night games continue in week 11.The Miami Dolphins are at the Carolina Panthers. As usual, if you have any players on these teams that you want to use, you can submit those players by Thursday night by game time (6:20 MT, 7:20 CT).I wouldn’t wait until the last minute to submit those players. You can submit the rest of your lineup by Sunday the usual deadline.
WAIVER REQUEST:
Since there are the f$#@ing hated Thursday night games this week, the ‘Waiver Requests’ will end on Wednesday night instead of Thursday night at 9:30MT, 10:30CT through the rest of the season. The first come, first serve pickup now start on Wednesday night instead of Thursday night.Last week I remembered the f$#@ing hated Thursday night games, but I forgot about the early waiver requests as well.I forgot to thank Butch for reminding me about the early waiver request – thanks buddy.
TRADE DEADLINE:
The trading deadline has passed. You will no longer be able to make or accept a trade offer for the rest of the season.
SURVIVOR POOL:
Another player was eliminated in week 10 of the Survivor Pool.James and Mark submitted the Broncos would beat the Redskins, silly Therefore they are now for segment 2.Everybody else got their pick correct. We had 5 players take Minnesota over Detroit and one player took Baltimore over Cleveland.Remember, you can submit a survivor pick until the team you pick has kicked off.If you forget to make a survivor pick after the early games, you can still make a pick for the afternoon, evening and Monday games. If you forget to make a pick for the afternoon games, you can still make a pick for Sunday or Monday night games. If you forget the Sunday night game, you still can make a pick for the Monday night game.
WEEK 11 GAMES
All of week 11 games are NON divisional games again.Their really isn’t a featured game that sticks out for week 11, although there are plenty of games with playoff implications. It will be real interesting after week 11 has completed.Home Brews can clinch a first round bye in the playoffs.Rumrunners and Got Kaya could possibly clinch their division with a win.Da Boyz could possibly clinch at least a wild card.Los Cojones, 5280’s and Blind Melon Chithead have a chance to get eliminated from the playoffs with a loss.It depends on how the rest of their division does.Otherwise there is really no big game this week.
FANTASY RECAPS:
For the recaps, I’ll be using the opening point spread instead of the point spread when the lineups are submitted.I think it is a truer spread and I don’t have to wait until everybody has submitted a lineup.Plus with the f$#@ing hated Thursday night games, not all of the lineups are submitted. All of week 10 games were non-divisional games again. The GAME OF THE WEEK was Rumrunners who barely squeaked by Blind Melon Chitlin’ by only 5 points, 138-133 in this high scoring epic battle between first and last place teams. The BLOWOUT OF THE WEEK game was Da Boyz who demolished Instant Winners by 48 points, 80-32.As I mentioned earlier, Instant Winners was using his last weeks lineup because he forgot to submit one this week. But oh well, too bad so sad, it’s still a blowout. Finally, the UPSET OF THE WEEK game was Cracker Boy who was an 8.9 point underdog to Gonna Win Again, but whipped him by 32 points, 91-59.To read the full Week 10 Fantasy Recaps, please click on Fantasy Recaps.(Hint: you may have to press CTRL and click at the same time).
